Sweet surprises

A few minutes ago I went in to check on Emma, who had been napping most of the afternoon in our dining room. As I rounded the corner, I saw Delaney climbing up on a chair to get a better view of her sleeping sister. I tiptoed away to get my camera, and returned to get these two cute shots. Being a mommy sure has its rewards:

Keeping busy when I'm stuck inside... by Hannah!

I woke up on Wednesday to a snowy, icy morning. Mommy told me that school was canceled so I immediately dressed in my best clothes, which included my Tinkerbell skirt and ankle thingies. I had been begging my mom to let me work on my Valentines for days, so I had fun doing that. We bought the High School Musical kind and they are little bags that you can put a treat in. We bought boxes of candy conversation hearts to tuck inside. There's also a cool sticker that I know the boys in my class will just love. hee-hee!Look how fancy I am!
Later in the day we made sugar cookies. I taught Delaney how to decorate them properly. She loved shaking the candies out all over the place.
We made a bit of a mess, but it was lots of fun.
Here is a close-up of one of my best. I like to see how many thousands of sprinkles I can fit on each cookie. Yum!

Keeping busy when I'm stuck inside... by Delaney!

On Wednesday, we had a snowy, rainy day. I started off my morning by spending a very long time with my books. "The Littlest Pumpkin" was the day's favorite and I enjoyed counting all of the pumpkins, as well as describing them, very thoroughly, to anyone who would listen. I spent some time with Emma. We played in her gym. It used to be mine, but I'm a little too big for it now. I like to put my baby dolls in there with Emma, so she doesn't get lonely.I got a little silly when Mommy pulled out the camera for the tenth time. I think I tackled her here.Haha! Mom, you are funny! And I am silly!
I will get you! Look out!
Grrrrrrr!
I found a cool tool under the kitchen sink. I know I'm not supposed to play under there, but look at this! A cleaner! I enjoyed using this cleaner to wash walls, chairs, mirrors, doors, and our dirty kitchen floor. I am a really good cleaner.

Snow!

For the past few days, the weathermen have been excitedly chirping about the big snow that was headed our way. As of yesterday, we were expecting 4-7 inches; our biggest snow of the season. As of 7:00 PM tonight, we still only had about an inch. Ergh! Silly weathermen!

But Daddy and Hannah were excited nonetheless, and bundled up to head out this evening. Bryan pulled the sled down to the CVS on the corner for some much-needed baby wipes, then the two of them headed for the hills. After shoveling the walk a bit, and throwing snowballs at Delaney and me (we were on the other side of the door--where it was warm!) they came inside.

Bryan commented that for being Samoan, Hannah sure loves the snow!

Hannah was outside, Delaney was inside.

Outside, looking in!Savoring some hot chocolateA joyful grin!
(By the way, her bottom two teeth are loose! Our baby is growing up!)

Silly girls having fun

Emma... our growing girl

Bryan and I keep laughing about how big Emma is getting. She is actually chubby now! In fact, today I even called her "Porky"! Oh my! I am a little bit sad that I haven't taken nearly as many pictures of her as I did of Hannah and Delaney when they were babies. She'll be eight weeks old on Monday and before we know it, she'll be eight years old. So, here are some pictures from today. Oh, and by the way, she's officially smiling now!

(thank you, Aunt Missy, for the cute cow outfit!)

Happy New Year, Happy Birthday Daddy!

Now that things have appeared to settle down in our house, we finally got the chance to bake Bryan his favorite cake and sing Happy Birthday to him tonight. His birthday was actually on Dec. 26th, but we spent most of that day in the ER instead. My parents came to join the fun and my mom pointed out that Bryan gets to celebrate two birthdays this year! She's right!Happy Birthday, Daddy. We love you!
