She's home!

I have no new pictures to post, but our little pumpkin Emma is home safe and sound. After four nights in the hospital, she is thrilled to be home! And we're thrilled to have her here!

Didn't think we'd be back so soon...

...to our wonderful local hospital. Poor little Emma is fighting RSV and was admitted on Friday morning. When I was taking pictures this evening, Bryan was teasing me and said, "oh, are they for your blog?" to which I replied, "Of course not! I wouldn't put this on the blog!".

So. Here it is. I have reconsidered and decided that although we are sad for our little girl, she is in wonderful hands (both the hospital staff's and--more importantly--God's) and now her proud grandparents out there can see for themselves that she is doing pretty well, over all. And when she is safely back home again, we can view this post and be thankful for her good health. And that of our whole family's.

Bryan graciously kicked me out of the hospital tonight and sent me home for a good night's rest. And I'm asking myself, "why aren't I in bed?!?!?"

Because blogging is fun. And when else would I have time to do it?!?!? Love to you all.

Getting ready for Christmas... Part II

For weeks now Hannah has been planning to feed Santa and his reindeer on Christmas eve. Bryan took her outside right before bed and together they counted out nine carrots; one for every reindeer including Rudolph. They then came back inside to prepare Santa's plate of cookies. Oatmeal chocolate chip! Daddy's favorite!

This plate came with a marker to write requests with. Hannah wrote, "lipgloss, polly (pocket), little pet shop. Merry Christmas love Hannah xoxoxoxo"

Itty-bitty baby smiles

I'm not sure if these are "real" smiles or not, but Emma seems to do it when I pull out the camera! Say cheese!

Time to play at Chick fil-A!

This afternoon we hit Chick fil-A for lunch before fighting the crowds at Target. We love to eat there because there is a nice, clean playland for the kids. Although the restaurant was packed, the playland was not, and Hannah and Delaney had a blast. Bryan and I were amazed at Delaney's lack of fear as she climbed like a monkey through all the tunnels and fixtures (I should mention that up until about a year ago, Hannah disliked these things and would get about halfway up before screaming and crying in terror. Someone would always have to climb up to rescue her. (notice I say "someone", which means anyone other than me!)).

Hello, Mom and Dad!
Hannah is coming up behind her!Silly girls! There's Delaney, peeking out of the car. Way up high!
Time to go! Hooray, Laney!

An Early Christmas

Nana, Papa, and Aunt Nikki came to meet baby Emma last weekend. They brought with them presents galore, so the girls enjoyed an early Christmas and some fun with the family. The time passed much too quickly, but they're hoping to visit again soon. We hope so, too!

Our best attempt at a photo of all 3 girls!

This picture is a little blurry, but cute nonetheless.Delaney adores anything that lights up and plays music.Bryan, his dad, and Emma.

Aunt Nikki is a favorite of the girls... ...as evidenced below.

No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!

Delaney loves books. And I mean LOVES them. This weekend she spent lots of time reading (and singing) books with her Nana. Below is a video that shows just a little bit of her enthusiasm for "Five Little Monkeys".

Grandma and Grandpa come to visit!

Grandma and Grandpa flew in from Arizona to meet Emma and to visit with us. The girls had a great time playing with them. They did crafts, played games, went out to lunch, and chased one another around the house. Everyone got a kick out of Delaney's coloring skills, as evidenced in the bottom picture. Thank goodness for washable markers!
