Sarah Faith

This weekend we drove up to my sister's house in New Hampshire for Sarah's baptism. Here are some photos of my neice all dressed up! She's a cutie, isn't she?

What to do on a cold, cold day...

1. Invite a friend over... make sure she brings her baby.
2. Dress appropriately.
3. Hide from your baby sister. Be sure to let her find you.
4. Have fun!

Little Miss Independent

This morning Hannah asked me if we could go to McDonald's for lunch. Although I am not a huge fan of their greasy food, her playdate was cancelled due to sickness so I agreed. We arrived at 11:30--well before the lunch rush--so for the first half hour, we had the place to ourselves. Hannah decided that she wanted some ice cream after finishing her chicken nuggets. Since I had Delaney in the high chair, I suggested that she get the ice cream by herself. Being Little Miss Independent, she happily obliged and I just happened to have my camera in my purse.

My little girl is growing up! (I should add that when the cashier handed her the change, she got all excited and yelled across the restaurant, "Hey Mom! Can I keep the money?" Of course I let her keep it. It was four cents! Into her purse it went!)

The two pictures of Delaney are simply to show off her hair! Pretty soon she'll have as much as Hannah!

A Celebration

Most of you know that I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in, well, almost ten months now. Until last night, that is. Delaney actually slept through the night! I put her to bed at 6:45 PM and didn't hear from her again until 6:30 this morning! Yeah!!! To celebrate, we went to the library. I know, that's not very exciting, but what else is there to do on a cold, dreary day like today? Preschool and playdates fill the rest of this week so actually, it was the perfect way to spend time together. The last photo here shows Delaney awaiting Daddy's return from work. Here's to another full night of sleep tonight!

Sick day

I don't think you'd believe it from this video, but all three of us girls are feeling under the weather today. So, we spent our morning in the playroom. Delaney had fun dancing to her music while Hannah did what she does best... dressing up. Today's outfit choice was a little wacky. What's with the winter hat and fancy dress shoes? At least her princess bathing suit and princess purse coordinated. Ahhh, little girls. Like chicken soup for the soul.

Playtime!

My dear friend Megan came for a visit today, along with her son Carter. He is ten weeks older than Delaney and a real cutie-patootie. Even better--he willingly shares his cheerios.

What do you think?

Everyone always says that Delaney looks just like Bryan. That's great for her but a little sad for me. I took this picture this morning and, in my humble opinion, I actually see MYSELF in Delaney's expression. Decide for yourself...

We're twins!

Hannah and I took Delaney to the mall today to shop. After listening to at least four different senior citizens exclaim how cute "he" was and how they wanted to pinch "his" cheeks, we decided it was time to get her ears pierced. Hannah realized that Delaney's new earrings were "diamonds" like her own, and then explained that that makes the two of them twins. I love it.
